Smart Photo Selector automatically chooses the main image for your Storefront and directory listing on The Knot from your photo gallery aimed to help increase your Storefront visits. Our data-driven image selection identifies which image in your gallery is most likely to appeal to couples based on the types of images that have driven the highest engagement in your category—no guesswork needed!
How does it work?
We use a proprietary algorithm that identifies which types of images are most likely to drive visits to storefronts for each category based on historical performance -- and then uses that to select an image from your gallery that is most likely to get more clicks as your main Storefront image. For example, for venues, it’s discovered that outdoor pictures of the building tend to get more clicks than close up images of indoor table settings.
Where will the selected image show up?
The image Smart Photo Selector chooses will display on your Storefront and on your directory listing.
Where can I see the image chosen by Smart Photo Selector?
You can check which image was chosen by Smart Photo Selector by going to your Storefront. If Smart Photo Selector is enabled, the photo selected will be the image on the far left of the photo section on your Storefront.
How can I enable Smart Photo Selector?
Smart Photo Selector is exclusively available to our advertisers on The Knot. By default, Smart Photo Selector is already turned on for your Storefront.
If you’d like to opt out of Smart Photo Selector, you can:
- Head to your The Knot account via your WeddingPro Dashboard
- Under the 'Storefront' tab, click 'Photos and Videos' on the left side
- Under the ‘Add Photos’ and ‘Add Videos’ buttons, you’ll see a toggle for Smart Photo Selector.
- Slide the toggle to the left to disable Smart Photo Selector
- Once disabled, you’ll have the ability to select a main image from your gallery.
Please note that it may take up to two hours for changes to go into effect after enabling or disabling Smart Photo Selector.
